Hello there. My name is Laurène Piju.
I am an illustrator based in Paris.
I originally studied Cinema and Moving Image at Panthéon-Sorbonne, Paris, where I did my BA, after which I worked for a couple of years for production companies such as Partizan and Premiere Heure.
After an internship at Benetton's Fabrica in Treviso, Italy, I headed to London to do my MA in Communication Design and Digital Media at Central Saint-Martins ... and ended up living in London for 9 years :-)
There I had the opportunity to work as a design assistant for Studio Kupfer but also as a junior producer for the Moving Image Department at Jack Morton Worldwide, and to experiment with various mediums such as animation, interactive design, screen-printing, textile, etc. before launching my career as a freelancer.
Since then I created illustrated and animated content for books, websites, clothing, magazines, packaging, exhibitions and also got my first illustration book '10 Birds Of Britain' published by the awesome team at Pedestrian Publishing.
I currently live in Paris and love to work on projects from all over the world, be it packaging, editorial, digital ... or any kind of creative collaborations.
A project you want to talk about? Please get in touch. I'm all ears ...
Looking forward to hearing from you :-)
